The Yamaha C5 is a highly celebrated 6'7" (200 cm) conservatory-level grand piano that sits in the upper tier of Yamaha's world-famous C (Conservatory) Series. Renowned for its exceptional power, projection, and expressive depth, the C5 is built for serious performers, institutions, music studios, and advanced home pianists
All legacy C5 models were manufactured exclusively at Yamaha's flagship factory in Hamamatsu, Japan

Premium 6'7" Scaling: Positioned cleanly between the standard living room grand (the 6'1" C3) and the semi-concert grand (the 7'4" C7), the C5 boasts much longer bass strings and a massive solid spruce soundboard. This produces an incredibly deep, rich, and thunderous bass register combined with a bell-like treble clarity

Extended Key Sticks (Superior Leverage): Because the C5 is a significantly longer grand piano, the physical wood key sticks inside the cabinet are longer than those in baby grands. This acts as a longer lever, providing the player with far greater dynamic control, touch sensitivity, and a lighter, smoother action at the back of the keys

True Duplex Scaling: Featuring Yamaha's signature duplex scale design, the non-speaking parts of the piano strings are calibrated to vibrate sympathetically. This enriches the upper registers with shimmering overtones and complex harmonics

Full Sostenuto System: Outfitted with a heavy-duty, concert-spec three-pedal system. The middle pedal functions as a true Sostenuto (sustaining only the notes held down at the exact moment the pedal is pressed), a requirement for advanced classical literature
